The Department of Philosophy at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for an Andrew W. Mellon Postdoctoral Teaching Fellowship to begin in August 2010. AOS: Epistemology or Medieval Philosophy with a particular focus on the Islamic Tradition. The fellowship appointment is for two years. The fellow will teach three courses per year and will be expected to extend his or her doctoral research under the guidance of a tenured faculty member. He or she will have access to funds to support research and travel, will be offered the opportunity to enroll in courses offered by the Colleges of Worcester Consortium's Certificate in College Teaching Program, and will also participate in a faculty development program that fosters excellence in teaching and scholarship. This full-time fellowship offers a competitive salary and includes full benefits. The College of the Holy Cross is a highly selective Catholic liberal arts college in the Jesuit tradition, located about 45 miles west of Boston.
